Considering the physical, mental, and emotional needs of people, interior designers use human-centered approaches to address how we live today. Humanity is spending more and more time indoors. This in turn affects the physical and mental health of one. Designing the interior one is a huge responsibility given to an interior designer. They plan, research, coordinate and manage a project to make a space healthy and aesthetically pleasing for the people using the space.

The apartment is designed for two brothers who have their own traveling business in Russia. Among one of the few initial discussions, we had with the client where we asked the client to share the vision they had about their home. The brothers needed something along the line of modern contemporary. He needed an Indian touch in his house as he wanted to feel homely and comfortable. We discussed many designs and finally settled on this one.

Design in Details

One of the main challenges we faced while designing the project was the lack of availability of economic options regarding the material in Russia. The apartment was originally designed with a balcony attached to the combined living and kitchen space. Since the balcony would be of no use during the winters they decided to cover the space up and make it a part of their living room with a long window to enjoy the view. One modification that was done in the space according to their requirement was converting the third bedroom into the gym. Another thing that the client wanted was to have large viewing windows from all the spaces along with proper seating next to it.
