We all have seen how some places stand out more than others. Have you ever thought about what makes them stand out? The answer is focusing on detail. Each detail matters when it comes to decorating your space.

We have seen many people make common mistakes when it comes to designing your home. We have spoken to a few leading interior designers discussing common mistakes people did when it comes to interior design. Bad Lighting:

One common mistake that people make while doing interior design is having only one type of lighting. The trick to having good lighting is having different types of lighting in a space.

Wrong rug size:

There is nothing more worst than a wrong size rug. Too big and it swallows up space; too small and it doesn’t help in anchoring the space. The size of the rug is such that the front leg of all your furniture should be fit on the rug.

Wrong size furniture:

One common mistake that is seen in most of the homeowner’s space is the wrong size of the furniture. Homeowners buy furniture that is either too big or too small for their space. To avoid this one must always measure your space before buying the furniture.

Too many statement piece/focal point:

A key to an attractive space is by adding a statement piece in that space or by creating a focal point. By doing this the eye doesn’t get rest and cannot focus on one option which in turn gives a negative impact on the space.

These are a few of the mistakes that are most common in one’s home. Book your consultation now to get more tips and tricks on how you can improve your home. To get your consultation click here.
